"The entire endzone? Like both of the sides and the back?" "Yeah. Are you game?" "Of course!" Everyone at Polatch got to pick a card at random, 2 through Jack, and the Ultimate goal was to get an Ace, which could be traded in for a sweet pair of limited edition custom Five Hydro Shorts. In order to get a higher card than the one in your hand, you needed to find someone with a higher card and trade cards through a Dare Challenge. As Dealers with numerous face cards, Five employees were able to give out many Dare Challenges to those who dared to ask. My personal highlight: Watching my friend purposefully trap himself in a net and then "scream for help" until someone was willing to come over and "untangle" him. Oh Potlach. Five Highlights of the Tournament: 1. Giant Slip n' Slide outside of the five booth 2. Card Game that resulted in crazy dares and sweet shorts as prizes 3. An expansion to two giant tents, ones for merch, and one for chillin' 4. Night Bacon and PLU setting up a great hangout on Friday night 5. We have done our research and are confident that we will be bringing you the best possible competition." -Women's Centex Website This Year's Summary Five Ultimate was happy to have been a part of the sixth annual Women’s Centex this March, hosted in Austin, Texas. The tournament grew to 32 teams this year, and attracted top competition from across the country. A cold and windy Saturday meant tough conditions for the players; we watched teams battle out long zone points all day. Sunday brought a welcome relief from the wind, and the Texas sunshine quickly thawed any chills left from Saturday. At the end of the day, Ottowa and Santa Barbara had battled their way to the finals, and Ottowa was able to pull out the final match. Congrats to the winners! Thanks to the Texas women for their hospitality in the Lone Star State. A crew of 16 observers were able to cover at least one game each for 25 Open and all 16 Women's teams at the event. To top that, we're in Vegas and everyone wants to have fun. With sumo wrestling, dares, and card games, Five helped promote trouble at Trouble in Vegas. The newest currency in the Ultimate world, Vegas Bucks, allowed you to use for causing your Vegas trouble. Each February, Five Ultimate descends on Las Vegas to participate in the hottest show of the year. Over 2,500 players roll in from around the country to play in this amazing tournament. Roulette tables, dunk tanks, and a tournament wide currency (Trouble Money) are only a few of the tricks in store." Five Highlights of the Tournament: 1. Waterslide outside of the five booth 2.
