At Five Ultimate, we want to work with you to create unique, custom screen-printed, good-looking gear for your team to strut at games all season. We strive to make the process easy for you, and to make sure your gear turns out just the way you’d like it.

The Low-Down on Screen Printing Your Gear:

What is screen printing?

To put your artwork on your gear, we use a technique called screen printing. If you want more information on the process, check out wikipedia’s article on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_printing

Cost

For all our gear, the pricing scheme for printing is as follows:

$2 per screen (1 screen = 1 color in 1 location)
$2.50 per number
$4 for player names

Printing your Artwork

Whenever possible, send your artwork in Adobe Illustrator or another vector format. We need to have your artwork in a vector format to screen print it. However, if creating vector artwork is not an option for your team, don’t worry! We have many talented graphic artists who can take whatever artwork you send us and make it look great printed on your gear! Whatever format you do send your artwork in, just make sure it is as large and crisp as possible. If you use a font in your design, make sure to let us know the name of the font.

When you send your artwork to us, make sure you consider:

Artwork

Size:

We can print your artwork at a maximum size of 16″ by 12.5″ on your jerseys, 10″ square on your shorts, and 2.5″ by 3.5″ on your hats.

Color:

We can match almost any color you would like to have printed. If you are very picky about color, make sure to specify a Pantone number so we can get it exactly right. The number of colors you can have in one location is 6. (e.g. you can have a 6 color rainbow on your jerseys but not an 8 color rainbow.)

Location:

We can print almost anywhere on your gear. For the screen printing process to work, however, the screen needs to be able to lie flat against the fabric. Therefore, we can’t print over things like pockets, zippers, or sleeve seams. We can print over seams (e.g. the side of the jersey) but because this requires that we print over a bumpy seam, we charge a little extra for this, and it will take a week or two extra to print the order. This is because of the extra time and care it takes to make sure the printing will come out looking excellent!

Player Numbers

Font:

We offer six different styles of screen printed numbers at various sizes. Check ‘em out!

Five number fonts

Size:

Standard sizes for numbers are 3″ on shorts and either 6″ or 8″ on jerseys, but we’ll print them in any size you’d like.

Color:

We can print your numbers in any color you’d like. There’s just one thing you should keep in mind – when we print lighter colored inks on darker fabric, we put a white screen behind it so that it really stands out. However, we can’t do the same for names and numbers, because they are different on each jersey. Therefore, the player numbers and names may come out slightly different shades.

Player Names

Font:

We can print your player names in any font you’d like. Just make sure to let us know the name of your desired font. If we don’t have your desired font on file we may request you send it in as a .ttf file.

Size:

We can print your player names up to 3″ tall.

Color:

We can also print in any color you’d like – though you should keep in mind that when we print lighter colored inks on darker fabric, we put a white screen behind it so that it really stands out. We can’t do the same for names and numbers, because they are different on each jersey. Therefore, the player numbers and names may come out slightly different shades.

Other important factors to consider when placing an order:

1.

It is our goal to make our standard colors and sizes available year after year. Ideally once you build your team identity your new players should be the only ones needing to order in subsequent years. However, should you decide to go with any of our limited edition colors their availability is not guaranteed on subsequent orders.

2.

Please keep in mind our reorder policy when deciding whether or not to wait until you hear back from your player that has ran off to Timbuktu and is not getting back to you about their size.

3.

When figuring out a size for the logo make sure it will look how you want on your largest and smallest jerseys, as well as all the jerseys in between. A 16″ eagle may look fantastic on your XL men’s jerseys, but it won’t fit on your XS women’s jerseys!

4.

When printing a light color on a dark jerseys, we flash a screen of white ink underneath your logos to make they look really sharp. However, we do not do the same for numbers and player names because they are different from jersey to jersey. Therefore, your logos and your player names and numbers on your dark jerseys may come out slightly different shades, because the dark color of the jersey will show through a little bit on your numbers and player names.

5.

The five patch is what it is and is where it is. We aren’t going to move it, remove it, or change it’s color for your order.
